Woman ‘sexually assaulted’ in city centre after night out with pal as cops hunt ‘man in his 20s riding bike’

POLICE have launched a desperate appeal to find a cyclist after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted after a night out.

The victim was approached by an unknown man on his bike after she arrived in Bath, Somerset, at around 1.20am on October 13 last year.

After he tried to talk with her, they then travelled together along a number of streets before the suspect sexually assaulted her.

Avon and Somerset Police has now released a picture of a man it wishes to speak to in order to help its investigation.

The victim had been out in Bristol with a friend on October 12 before she then boarded a bus to Bath city centre, police say.

Avon and Somerset Police added: “The victim has been supported through specialist sexual assault services and officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including CCTV and forensic examinations and interviewing witnesses.

“We are now at a stage where we would like to identify and speak with the man pictured.

“If you recognise him, or have any recollection of the incident, please call us.”
