A MAN has been charged with the murder of a woman known to him after she was found dead and suffering serious injuries at a home.
Sarah Reynolds, 58, was discovered in an “unresponsive” state at the property in Selhurst, London, at around 4.55am on Saturday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to try to resuscitate her but Sarah was sadly pronounced dead at scene, despite their best efforts.
On Monday, Earlston Bennet, 57, who was known to Sarah, was charged with her murder.
He will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Sarah’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, although formal identification has yet to take place.
Metropolitan Police said its detectives were not looking for anyone else in relation to Sarah’s death on Saturday as they continue to build up a picture of her life in the weeks leading up to last weekend.
Cops added they were keen, however, to speak with anyone who interacted with or saw Sarah in recent weeks.
