A woman has sadly died after a car being chased by police smashed into her, as cops continue to hunt a man who fled the scene of the collision.
The 47-year-old woman, from Wrexham in Wales, died in hospital on Wednesday.
She was seriously injured at 9.30pm on Monday, when a silver Mercedes was trying to escape from police but crashed into a Toyota car.
The woman and a man who was also in the Toyota were rushed to Stoke hospital.
North Wales Police confirmed the man is being treated for life-changing injuries.
Two men – the Mercedes driver and a passenger – fled the scene of the crash.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
But police said they are still looking for a second man and launched an appeal to find him.

A 20-year-old woman, two men aged 37, and a 50-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The 22-year-old man and the 20-year-old woman have since been released on conditional bail.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct has confirmed it has received a referral from North Wales Police regarding the crash.
Detective Chief Superintendent Sian Beck said: ‘Our deepest sympathies are with the woman’s family at this incredibly sad and difficult time, who are receiving support from specialist officers.
‘We continue to follow firm lines of enquiry to locate a second man who left the scene, and I would like to hear from anyone who can assist with our investigations, to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has confirmed it has received a referral from North Wales Police regarding the incident.
A spokesperson said: ‘We received a referral from North Police Wales yesterday (Tuesday) in relation to this incident.
‘The referral will be assessed before we decide if any further action is required by us.’
