Ozzy Diaz beats Djorden Santos by unanimous decision

Fans who don’t have the UFC fight pass may have just missed out…

In what was the only early prelim of the night, with barely any fans in the arena, Diaz and Santos went to war in what some fans are calling a fight of year contender.

The Judges scored the contest 29-28 to Ozzy Diaz in a contest that could have gone either way.

UFC 313 opening bout

The first fight of the night is a middleweight fight between Djodren Santos and Ozzy Diaz.

Santos will make his full UFC debut tonight after impressing on Dana White’s Contender series.

His opponent, Diaz, will fight for the second time in the UFC. His previous fight ended in a TKO loss to Mingyang Zhang.

Due to the two cancelled bouts, this is the new running order for UFC 313.

Late notice changes

Unfortunately, just hours before the event, the UFC announced that two fights have been cancelled.

Firstly, John Castaneda has pulled out of his fight against Chris Gutierrez due to illness.

The featured prelim of the night, Curtis Blaydes vs Rizvan Kuniev, has been removed from the card because Blaydes has also pulled out due to illness.
