Tragedy as girl, 10, and man, 48, are killed in horror caravan fire at popular holiday park

A 10-YEAR-OLD girl and man, 48, have been killed in a horror caravan fire.

Emergency Services were called to Coastfields Holiday Park, in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire, at about 3:53am today, cops said.

There are still two crews at the scene and investigations are on-going.

The exact cause of the fire is still unknown and police said they are “keeping an open mind”.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We are very sad to confirm that two people have died following a caravan fire at Goldenbeach Holiday Park, Roman Bank, Ingoldmells.

“We were called at 3.53 am today (5 April) to a report of a caravan fire at the holiday park where two people have tragically lost their lives.

“Their next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers.

“Fire & Rescue crews attended from Skegness, Wainfleet, Spilsby and Alford. 

“There are two crews still at the scene and fire investigations are on-going.

“We have Crime Scene Investigators on site, and we are carrying out inquires to determine the exact cause of the fire. 

“We are at the very early stages of our investigation and as such we are keeping an open mind.”
