A group of thirsty commuters have been hailed ‘legends’ after ordering cans of Guinness to their train via Uber Eats.
Content creator Becky Thrower was travelling on a train home from London when she encountered a group of ‘complete strangers’ longing for the frothy Irish stout beer.
In the video shared to Instagram, Becky filmed the men sitting on a group of four seats, while she sat on the other side of the aisle to film the entertaining encounter.
In true British fashion, the group, despite not knowing each other before embarking upon the journey, united in an attempt to order four Guinnesses from Sainsbury’s via food delivery platform Uber Eats.
Adrenaline kicked in once the order was put through, as the train kept moving from station to station, meaning they had to perfectly time the order to align the delivery window with a particular stop.
Becky filmed the men talking logistics as they anxiously paced up and down the train carriage, eager to get their order.
As they pulled into the chosen stop, the group peered out of the windows, hoping to catch a glimpse of their knight in shining armour – the Uber Eats driver.
Then, two men in the group placed their feet between the carriage doors to stop the train from driving away.

Once they had spotted their delivery man, they flagged him down by yelling and waving at him at what appeared to be Stafford station.
Becky filmed the delivery driver sprinting down the platform, drinks in tow, to fulfil the order.
He asked one of the men for their delivery code before tapping it into his device and receiving a £5 tip the group pitched in to give him.
Fist pumping the air, the commuters appeared elated after securing the goods, holding up their cans and saying cheers after pulling off a near-impossible task.
Becky captioned the video: ‘In the most British fashion, my train home from London turned into an adrenaline-packed extreme sport with strangers and four cans of Guinness.
‘Shout out to the Uber eats driver for saying “let’s make this happen” and running for the train.’
