BILLING Aquadrome has reopened for spring.
With hot tub lodges, platinum grade accommodation as well as a new club house and kids’ zone, the Northampton holiday park has been completely transformed.
Last year, it looked like the 80 year old holiday park, Billing Aquadrome, would close for good after falling into administration.
But thanks to Meadow Bay Villages, it’s back and has had £12million worth of investment.
There were multiple setbacks though, including floods last year.
But the park is officially open for its very first spring and summer season, with brand-new additions to the site, including new accommodation.

You can now stay in platinum caravans which are designed for a family of four.
They have all the modern amenities as well as two bedrooms and a hot tub.
The new bespoke glamping pods have an outdoor decking overlooking the lakes complete with hot tubs and BBQ tables.
Inside you’ll find everything you need for a self-catering holiday, and there are even stargazing skylights.
Another new addition to the holiday park is The Zen Den.
It’s a carefully designed sensory room for children with interactive and calming attractions.
The features will support children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and other additional needs.
Another new addition is The Lake Club, which sits on the edge of one of the eleven lakes on the site.
The new expansion is a cafe and relaxation area where visitors can grab a bite to eat, enjoy a morning coffee, or simply relax by the water.
Other additions include an outdoor splash park, waterpark with an inflatable course and amphitheatre which all made their grand opening late last year.
One visitors wrote on Tripadvisor: “You can see a huge investment done and what a difference. Nice new caravans and pods. So many things for kids to do, stunning venue.”
Other feedback on the refurbished park said: “Considering we flooded last year the owners have turned this place around to a park that they will be queuing to come into in the coming years. Well done all involved.”
One of our Sun Travel team paid a visit to the park in October last year when the park reopened.
They had a go on the new bike and scooter track, adventure golf, multiple swimming pools and saunas.
A hot tub getaway for two starts from £131 per night at Billing Aquadrome.

TV Star Josie Gibson Reveals The UK Holiday Park She Loves

This Morning star Josie Gibson admits she loves a trip to Ladram Bay.
Going to the coastal holiday park is one of Josie’s favourite ways to spend the summer holidays along with her little boy, Reggie.
Josie told Sun Travel: “I’ve travelled around the world, but look at what we’ve got here – I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as the Jurassic Coast.”
She continued: “I love going to new places, but I’m happy to go in a caravan. I go to Ladram Bay, Sandymouth in Bude, Tintagel, Newquay.
“The world is amazing, we are so lucky to have that on our doorstep. You get in a motor and it only takes a couple of hours to get to the most beautiful scenery in the world.”
Josie has been spotted in Ladram Bay multiple times, and even did a segment on paddleboarding there on This Morning – so it’s safe to say she’s a fan.
Ladram Bay is an award-winning coastal holiday park in Devon, with its own private beach.
The pebble beach has rockpools for exploring, and is also known for its watersports. Kayaks, paddleboards and motorboats can all be rented from the holiday park.
Anyone who does fancy a dip in the sea can swap the open waters for a heated indoor swimming pool on-site, complete with slides.
For smaller ones there’s a children’s play area plus an outdoor splash area with spray guns and an adventure playground pirate ship. Indoor activities include a soft play centre, a gaming arcade and climbing wall.
