Neighbours let their hedge grow over my customer’s fence… but I got the perfect revenge

Some may say he swept the problem under the rug – but this gardener found a clever solution to a neighbour’s encroaching hedge.

In a video with more than 639.8k views on TikTok, a gardener showed how something as mundane as a hedge can cause conflict between neighbours – and how to get revenge.

In the video the gardener is seen using a leaf blower to blow hedge trimmings under the fence panel back into the garden where it has grown from.

Panning the camera to a man carrying a garden waste disposal bag, he wags his finger.

The video reads: ‘The neighbour can have this back.’

After all the cuttings are in the neighbour’s garden, he closes the fence panel.

One commenter said: ‘I’m all about this level of pettiness.’

Another quipped: ‘It’s called return to sender.’

This comes as MailOnline reported earlier this year a ‘nightmare’ mother ripped down a shared hedge and lost a six-year £27,000 court war with her neighbour.

Costly court cases are not unusual when it comes to hedgerow disputes between neighbours.

According to the GOV.UK website you can only trim a hedge up to the property boundary.

If you do more than this your neighbour could take you to court for damaging their property.
