It comes after a homeowner begged for advice after spotting moss had grown all over their driveway.
Thankfully, gardening gurus came to the rescue and shared a super simple trick that will banish the nasty stuff in barely any time at all.
And not only can you say goodbye to moss with this handy hack, but even better, many claim it won’t grow back for up to two years – yes, you heard that correctly.
Posting on Reddit, on the /GardeningUK thread, the anonymous user, who writes under the username @parttimepedant, shared a snap of their tarmac, covered in the pesky green stuff.
Alongside the post, the user begged: “Best/quickest/easiest way to remove moss from tarmac please!”
Luckily for this user, numerous gardening enthusiasts quickly flocked to the comments, eager to share their advice on how to say goodbye to moss.
One person simply advised: “Moss brush. You’ll get back to bare tarmac and then you can treat the surface with a moss killer should you wish.”
Another added: “Fairy liquid, salt and vinegar mixed together kills everything.”
A third commented: “Wet and Forget, or use sodium hypochlorite, which is its main ingredient.”
Meanwhile, someone else advised: “Patio magic works a treat.”
At the same time, numerous gardening gurus swore by soda crystals, which you can nab from many high-street stores and supermarkets for just £2.

And not only did many praise the effectiveness of soda crystals – but many claimed that they will stop moss from coming back for up to two years.
One person said: “Soda crystals, just sprinkle over all the moss and leave it for a week. You will be surprised.”
A second added: “Soda crystals once a year.”
Whilst someone else recommended: “Soda crystals, sprinkle on, and leave for two days, then wash off with a stiff broom. It lasts up to two years.”
What’s the deal with soda crystals?
Soda crystals, also known as sodium carbonate, are a handy multi-purpose product to have in your home for cleaning.

Time to blast your patios and paths with a pressure washer – if your children are responsible enough it’s a great job for them – they’ll get soaked and have fun at the same time.

Soak your sweet peas before sowing into long narrow pots or toilet rolls – put two seeds in a pot. These can go in an unheated greenhouse – and when there’s three or four pairs of leaves, pinch out the growing tip which will make them grow outward instead of upwards.

Sow a wildflower meadow – if you have room. A lot of shops now sell wildflower mixes to make things easier – or even seed bombs which can just be scattered onto the soil.
