Fans of the American superstar are able to shop her range in the UK online now but the products have a hefty price tag – with shampoo starting at £30 a bottle.

Beyoncé, who announced her new business in February said: “I took the end of my name, Cé, and made it the beginning of the word sacred to create Cécred.

“From my mother’s salon, daily rituals with my father, and years of experience in developing a hair care line, the journey has been just that: Cécred.”

Cécred trademarked several goods and services, including:

  • Hair care preparations
  • Cosmetic preparations for hair care
  • Cosmetic preparations for the hair and scalp
  • Non-medicated dandruff shampoo
  • Medicated hair care preparations
  • Vitamins, vitamin supplements, and dietary supplements
  • Hair growth stimulants, namely, for eyebrows and eyelashes

The brand also trademarked electric and regular hair styling tools, like hair brushes, combs, curling and straightening irons, and heated caps.

The brand name, Cécred, is pronounced “sacred.”

Sacred is defined as “considered to be holy and deserving respect,” or “considered too important to be changed.”
