TRANSFORMING your hair into luscious curls doesn’t have to come at a luxurious price.
Aldi shoppers shared their excitement over a budget-friendly haircare mask that’s a fraction of the price of a similar Selfridge’s buy.
You don’t have to fork over the better part of a day’s wages to elevate your locks.
The Lacura hair masks are currently available for just £4.99 from the Aldi beauty section.
These special buys come in two different versions, with one prioritising repair.
Once your strands are healthy, you can further enhance them with the nourishing hair mask.
The repair mask is infused with mano and shea butters, which help to moisturise and hydrate your locks.
Meanwhile the nourish mask consists of jojoba oil, vitamin E, and sea buckthorn oil.
Jojoba oil helps to prevent breakage and further strengthen your locks.
Vitamin E encourages blood supply to the scalp, making it a vital ingredient for hair growth.
Sea buckthorn oil helps to support the structure of your hair strands, preventing breakage and damage.
Similar ingredients can be found in the Amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask.
However, at the slightly higher price tag of £28.99, this Selfridge’s buy may not be within everyone’s budget.
As well as containing similar ingredients, this hair mask is also designed for weekly use.
Manufacturers recommend leave the product to penetrate for five to seven minutes before rinsing.
For high-porosity hair in need of extra moisture, they suggest using the mask as an everyday conditioner.
And for normal or low-porosity hair, only use it once every seven days.
What are the biggest hair care mistakes?

Not looking after your scalp
Your scalp is an extension of the skin on your forehead and it should be given similar attention and care to the skin on your face. Scalp health is vital to healthy hair growth. Your scalp is your hair’s support system, and a flaky or inflamed scalp can contribute to hair loss and also impact the quality of hairs as they emerge from the follicle. Do cleanse and tone your scalp frequently. Try to leave no more than 2 days between shampoos.
High heat styling
The most common cause of hair damage is high heat styling – either with a blow dryer or straighteners. While it may take a little longer, a low to medium heat setting will give you great styling results, but without dryness, breakage and split ends. You should also always use a heat protective product such as our Daily Damage Defence and don’t hold your dryer right next to your strands.
Not eating well
Even if you’re using the best products in the world, if you aren’t eating well your hair’s condition and rate of growth won’t be at its optimal. Hair is a dispensable tissue as it isn’t needed for physical survival. This means nutrients are first used to keep essential cells functioning, with hair receiving them last.
Both versions of the masks are designed for use on all hair types.
They are said to be “packed with vitamins and nutrients to condition the hair making it soft, silky, and smoother than ever”.
One woman tried another Lacura haircare buy from Aldi and raved over the results.
And it’s not just haircare deals at Aldi, the shop also offers a £2 dupe of a beloved Charlotte Tilbury buy.
You can also nab £2.99 Sol De Janeiro dupes that smell “exactly the same” in store.
