The mega-deal was picked up on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group after a user pointed out the brilliant bargain.

The Hapello Sand & Water Table usually sells for £20 at Asda but a keen shopper at their branch in Owlcoates found it was scanning at the tills for only £5.

They explained the product was near the Easter stuff instead of the water stuff and that there were at least another two on the shelves.

Group members were quick to comment with one posting: “These are good, I bought one in the sale last summer.”

Another added: “If you see this grab me one please.”

Meanwhile, fans of the table have praised the product on the Asda website and overall it has gained 4.5 stars out of 5.

Described on the website as a sectioned table it comes with a bucket, watering can, flower watering accessory, 2 tools and 5 sand moulds.

One buyer said: “Bought this for my granddaughter & she absolutely loves it, hours of fun in the garden this summer , great value for money.

“It comes with various toys suitable for water play , definitely recommend this.”

Another said: “Bought this for my 18th month grandson its just the right size, all the utensils are small enough for him to grasp and use.

Shoppers race to nab ‘beautiful’ water feature to turn gardens into a tranquil haven, as price is slashed from £44 to £5

“The water wheel is great and his favourite feature. Brightly coloured haven’t bought sand yet as he just loves water.”

A third added: “This is such a good investment and good quality toy. It can be used for so many purposes such a water play, sand play, messy play using dry food.

“Less mess. And gives them freedom to play differently using the accessories that came with it.”

It is currently unclear if this is scanning for less in all Asda stores, but The Sun has reached out to Asda for more information.

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

Meanwhile, shoppers have been scrambling to Asda to buy a three-pack of Daim for less than a quid.

The iconic chocolate multipack is selling for 98p – a rare reduced price from its original £1.50 price tag.

And since we are approaching BBQ weather why not grab a megadeal at Lidl.

The supermarket chain will be selling a Grillmeister Two-Burner Gas Barbecue for the bargain price of £69.99.

For comparison, premium kitchen appliance manufacturer Robert Dyas is selling its equivalent – an Outback Omega 250 2-Burner Gas BBQ – for £149.99.

If something catches your eye, be sure to get to your local store quickly on April 17 as shops will only receive limited stock and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

And if you are looking for the perfect skirt for spring, look no further.

Marks and Spencer is selling a lace skirt that looks way more expensive than it is, and there is also the option of getting it in petite or tall versions.

The off-white garment, which is going viral on social media, is the M&S Lace Maxi Tiered Skirt, and it is proving a hit with fashion influencers.

The lace skirt is the perfect boho maxi for summer, and currently costs £49.50 for their petite, regular and tall versions.

You can pick it up in sizes six to 18 in petite, six to 24 in regular, and eight to 20 in tall.
