Arsenal are reportedly big admirers of Ajax centre-back Jorrel Hato – but could face competition from Liverpool for his signature.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey claims Hato is a “player Arsenal love” and have followed his progress “for years”.

The 19-year-old – who already had 6 caps for Holland – would likely command a £40m fee.

Top backing

Arsenal have tied down manager Mikel Arteta’s backroom staff to new deals after another strong season.

Arteta has developed a core coaching group during his time at the club, which includes assistants Albert Stuivenberg and Carlos Cuesta, first-team coach Miguel Molina, goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana and set-piece specialist Nicolas Jover.

The quintet are now understood to have all penned new contracts, bringing them in line with the length of Arteta’s deal.

Edu bids farewell

After a lengthy period on gardening leave, Edu has now officially left Arsenal.

The former sporting director has penned an emotional letter to fans.

A Laut of money

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to pay £128million to sign Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez this summer.

Mikel Arteta recently confirmed a “big” transfer window may happen after the appointment of new sporting director Andrea Berta.

According to Fichajes, the North Londoners could splash the cash for Lautaro.

The striker signed a new contract with Inter last summer and his current deal now runs until 2029.
