‘We had the same taste in whiskey and tequilas and I was really blown away by him just as a person and all I knew was that I wanted more.
‘Then I got an opportunity to act with him, and I will say, sitting across the other side of the camera with him was just a privilege,’ Sarah went on.
‘You’re only as good as your scene partner. He’s amazing in the show.’
Shahi was previously married to actor Steve Howey – who she met on the set of Shameless – from 2009 to until 2020. They share three kids together, William, 15, and twins Violet and Knox, 10.
Demos hasn’t been linked to anyone else publicly.
The former couple sparked engagement rumors last fall while on a romantic holiday in Italy.
Demos and Shahi were spotted taking a loved-up stroll around Lake Como, with the American-Iranian actress sporting a new sparkler on her wedding ring finger beside the ‘A’ tattoo she debuted when they got together.
That wasn’t the first time the smitten couple stirred up wedding vibes while holidaying together, with many reporting Adam had plans to pop the question when he brought Sarah Down Under in 2023.

The genetically-blessed duo climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge and cuddled koalas at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, with the pair reuniting after Adam filmed Netflix rom-com A Perfect Pairing alongside Victoria Justice on the Gold Coast.
Adam told several Australian outlets that he’d brought Sarah to Australia to meet his mum, who’s his ‘best mate’, and all of his childhood friends.
He previously said of his romance with the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader: ‘What I will say and I am always happy to say, is that I am a lucky man and it is happy days.’
Sarah also once said of her now former boyfriend: ‘This man is my f**king soul.
‘To be loved so wholly, so completely, it makes me feel amazing,’ she said at the time. ‘And I truly do wear him on my sleeve and I’m proud.’
Their off screen romance has outlasted that of their Sex/Life characters Billie and Brad, after Netflix cancelled its original drama series last year.
Sarah recently starred in Netflix’s Red White & Royal Blue while Adam is currently launching a pulse-pounding Hawaiian lifeguard drama called HI-Rescue.
When Sex/Life debuted its second season, well before Netflix canceled it, Shahi had criticism of the season’s storyline and how Demos wasn’t featured in it.

‘I’m not going to put it down, but I definitely did not have the support that I did the first season from the people involved in the show.
‘It became a much different thing for me, and I’m not afraid to say that,’ Sarah admitted.
‘I struggled with the material,’ she continued. ‘I just felt the thing that it had the first season — I mean, I’m never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can’t lie.
‘And it was definitely a challenge,’ she added.
