However, after a long winter of neglect, you may have noticed that your lawn is in need of a bit of TLC before you invite anyone over.

And although you may think that DIY tools to give your lawn a spruce up will cost a bomb, the Home Bargains Jardin Mechanical Water Timer proves otherwise.

Priced at just £4.99, the nifty tool will make keeping your lawn lush a simple task.

The bargain bit of kit allows you to automate garden watering, so you can sit back and relax whilst the gadget does the work for you.

It takes just a minute to set up -meaning you can spend more time with the kids – and also has a manual watering option too.

You can time your watering from between five and 120 minutes, and can use the device with both sprinklers and hose pipes.

“Make watering your garden a breeze with the Jardin Mechanical Water Timer!

“Just a twist of the comfort dial sets your timer from 5 to 120 minutes, plus you can easily switch to manual mode whenever you need instant access to your tap.”

The product is available in-store and online, so you can get it delivered to your door, hassle free.

However, Home Bargains will be closing stores on Easter Sunday, so you better get down there quick if you want to nab the tool before the Easer weekend.

And Home Bargains isn’t the only store selling bargains perfect for maintaining your lawn this spring.

Lidl’s Parkside Robot Lawnmower is the perfect tool to leave your grass looking fresh, ahead of hosting any BBQs or garden parties.

It is suitable for garden up to  500m and has three adjustable area modes and up to five defines secondary modes for spot mowing.

The product can mow your lawn for up to 45 minutes, and takes 60 minutes to charge.

How to stop yellow patches on your lawn

STEVEN Bell, Managing Director of Paving Shopper, shared his insights on the true causes of lawn discoloration and how to maintain a lush, green lawn…

1) Sharpen mower blades

2) Prevent fungal disease with nitrogen fertiliser

3) Mow frequently

4) Aerate lawn with a fork

A description reads: “The Lawnmower Garage is a great addition to the robot lawnmower too.

“It offers the lawnmower protection from the rain, snow and direct sunlight and has a sloping roof for easy drainage of rainwater.

“The hinged roof provides easy access to the robot lawnmower control panel and charging station.”

The product will be available in stores from April 24, so anyone keen to grab it better set their alarms!

It will be available in the middle aisle of stores, and as with all Specialbuys, when it’s gone, it’s gone.
