Afghan migrant with AK47 face tattoo threatened to kill Nigel Farage in TikTok video making gun gesture and saying ‘pop, pop’ before taking dinghy across Channel to Britain, court told

An Afghan migrant threatened to shoot Nigel Farage in a TikTok video where he made a gun gesture and said ‘pop, pop’ before crossing the Channel, a court has heard.

Fayaz Khan, 26, was detained shortly after he arrived in Britain from France on a small boat in October and charged with threats to kill and sending a menacing communication.

He appeared in the dock at Westminster Magistrates’ Court for the first time today, dressed in a grey tracksuit, where he spoke to confirm his name, via a Dari interpreter, and did not indicate a plea.

The Channel migrant, who has a distinct Kalashnikov gun tattoo on his face, is accused of filming himself saying he would kill Reform Party MP Mr Farage last year.

Prosecutor David Burns told the court that Khan, who uses the online nickname of Mada Pas, made a gun gesture and said ‘pop, pop’ in a clip.

He is said to have made the video as part of a series of recordings he was uploading to the internet chronicling his journey to Britain.

Khan allegedly posted further videos threatening the high profile politician as well as saying he would like to marry his sister.

David Burns, prosecuting, said: ‘He posted videos saying how he was going to enter the country illegally, those videos were passed to Mr Farage who reposted them.

‘This then came to the attention of Khan who posted a further video and confirmed he would come to England where he states he will find Mr Farage to make him stop talking about him.

‘And that he was going to ‘pop, pop’, while making as if his fingers were a gun.’

Khan is accused of threatening Mr Farage in a video and saying: ‘English man Nigel. Don’t talk s*** about me. You [do] not know me.

‘I come to England because I want to be married with your sister.

‘Don’t talk about me more. Delete the video. It is not good my friend, you do not know me. I am going to come to England…’

Khan shared further clips, including one with a caption which read ‘I mean what I say’, the court heard.

Mr Burns added that Mr Farage, who previously criticised some of the migrant’s alleged videos, said the threats had caused ‘significant distress’.

District Judge Briony Clarke remanded Khan, who is currently being held in HMP Elmley, Kent, in custody.

‘I have substantial grounds to believe if I granted you bail you would commit further offences and fail to surrender,’ she told him.

Khan will next appear at Southwark Crown Court on May 13th where he will also face a charge of entering the country illegally.
