According to one tea drinker at the Express, lemon juice is said to lift stubborn stains.

You can pick up a 200 mililitre bottle for just 45p from your local B&M.

Mixing the acidic liquid with baking soda is said to create a “fizzing solution” that tackles stains.

Since these ingredients instantly react by fizzing, a small amount goes a long way.

Leaving it to sit for as little as two minutes will show you a noticeable improvement.

This works by lifting a compound called tannins, found in tea and coffee, from your mug.
