But Ed Miliband seems blind to the facts, and is happy to plough on regardless.

He has said he is “up for the fight” over Net Zero. It is fantasy politics.

This comes despite secret Government documents, revealed in this newspaper, that laid bare the eye-watering cost of going green.

Common sense readers of The Sun can already see that energy costs have gone up and things have become more expensive because of the push for Net Zero.

Importing Chinese solar panels is a classic case of this.

Red Ed promised to cut bills by £300, but bills have gone up on his watch.

Net Zero by 2050 is impossible. That is why the Conservatives are developing a ­serious approach. We have to get real.

Only the Conservatives are telling the truth about it.

Meanwhile, Ed Miliband and his band of Net Zero nutters seem determined to run the UK into the ground — unflinching in the face of logic.

We want to hand over a better planet to our kids, but ­Britain’s mad dash to Net Zero must not cost the earth.
